Better Late Than Never

For my 2012 Christmas gift to my family, I pledged to do 100 hours of family history work in the following year. It was a great goal. But here's the thing about goals: you need to have a plan to achieve them, and you also need to GET STARTED. I made a couple of efforts in the general direction of family history, looking up the address and hours for the stake family history center, calling the Carnegie Library to ask about their family history resources, talking to several friends about my goal, and even sitting down to read "The Alworths," a family history of the Alworth Family (Dad's family on the paternal side). OK. So I guess those things all count, and I did get started. But I definitely didn't achieve my goal. So for Christmas 2013, I recommitted and I WILL do 100 hours of family history work in 2014.
